About me

I started sewing a couple of years ago when my best friend was in the process of moving overseas.  God gave me the idea to make my friend a memory quilt to take with her as she left the US.  I had never even touched a sewing machine before so the idea was a little crazy (par for the course when God wants to me to completely trust Him to help me do something!).

My mom-in-law who is an A-MAZING seamstress gave me a basic lesson in how to sew and I took it from there.  I finished the quilt and realized that sewing was a really fun creative outlet for me.  I decided to try sewing kids clothes mainly because I wanted to buy my oldest daughter and her female cousins some matching outfits but due to the fact that their ages vary so much, it was nearly impossible for me to find matching clothes for all of them.  I also wanted my son and daughter to be in matching outfits for some special occasions but had a really hard time finding matching clothes that were not super expensive at boutique-type places.  So, I have gotten into making random outfits whenever the mood strikes me and some fabric consumes me.

So many people have inspired me along the way.  As I tell many people, I am crafty but NOT creative.  I see something I like and use it as a springboard for my own outfits.  So, as you look through this site, I hope my outfits will inspire you just like I have been inspired.  I have also included notes on different patterns that I use.
